Why we built CallSky
Skype shut down in May 2025. WhatsApp, Viber, and Line stepped in for app-to-app calls. None of them work for calling a regular phone number, like your grandmother's landline in Manila. That's the gap CallSky fills.
Call any landline or mobile in 180+ countries. Pay per minute. The other person answers their normal phone, with nothing to install on their end.
Who we are
CallSky is made by Venus Cloud Ltd., the UK software company Hermann founded in 2011. Venus Cloud also makes Tegant, a VPN.
We're a small team. Support emails come back from a real person, usually within a working day. We haven't raised investment money.
We've been at this for over ten years, and we use the tools ourselves.
