CallSky

Privacy policy

Last updated 18 July 2026

This notice explains how Venus Cloud Ltd. handles personal data when you use the CallSky service — the iOS and Android apps and the web app on this domain — and when you browse the callsky.app website.

Scope of this notice

This notice covers both the CallSky calling service and the callsky.app website. The service sections describe the data needed to run your account and your calls; the website sections describe the measurement that runs on the public marketing pages.

Who we are

CallSky and callsky.app are operated by Venus Cloud Ltd., a private limited company registered in England under company number 07563716, with its registered office at 1 Richmond Road, Lytham St Annes, Lancashire FY8 1PE, United Kingdom. For data-protection purposes under the UK GDPR, Venus Cloud Ltd. is the controller of the data described in this notice.

The CallSky service

Account data

When you create an account we store your email address, your name if you provide one, and the sign-in identity you use (Apple, Google, or email and password). If you verify your own phone number for caller ID, we store that verification record. Contacts you add or import are stored in your account so they sync across your devices; we use them only to let you call and manage them.

Call records

For each call we record the destination number, the time, the duration, and the per-minute rate and cost. We use these records to connect the call, show your call history, and bill your credit balance.

Payments

Payments in the web app are processed by Stripe; we receive the amount and a transaction confirmation, never your full card number. Purchases in the mobile apps are processed by the app store you bought through, which handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.

Usage data and diagnostics

The mobile apps use Google's Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for usage statistics and crash reporting. The web app uses Google Analytics to measure product usage. Google advertising tags and ad-conversion tracking do not run on callsky.app.

Why we process this data

We process service data to perform our contract with you (connecting calls, maintaining your balance, providing support), to pursue our legitimate interests (preventing fraud and abuse, protecting the reputation of our caller-ID pool with destination carriers, and improving the service), and to comply with legal obligations. Call records and account activity may be analysed to detect service abuse and enforce the acceptable-use provisions of our Terms of use.

Account deletion and retention

You can request account deletion at any time from within the app. Your account is then scheduled for deletion with a 2-year recovery period, during which you can change your mind and reactivate it simply by signing back in. After that period, personal information — your email address, name, contacts, and phone-verification records — is permanently removed; call records are stripped of identifying details such as full phone numbers, and your credentials are deleted so the account can no longer be accessed.

We retain data during the recovery period on the basis of GDPR Article 17(3)(e) — the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims, including payment disputes, since card networks allow chargebacks up to 540 days after a transaction — and our legitimate interest in the integrity of our billing and telecommunications systems. Fully anonymised records that can no longer be linked to you may be kept for service analytics.

This website

What we collect

When you load a page on callsky.app, our infrastructure providers automatically receive standard HTTP request data, including:

  • Your IP address, browser user-agent, and the page paths you request.
  • Timestamps and response codes for each request.
  • The referrer (the link or site that brought you here), if your browser sends one.

We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand aggregate website use, including page views and clicks on our app-store buttons. Google advertising tags, purchase events, signup attribution and first-touch campaign records are not part of this website measurement setup.

How we use it

We use standard request data to serve and secure the site. We use aggregate measurement to understand whether visitors find and use the website, and to improve its content and navigation. We do not join this website measurement to CallSky accounts or the service database.

Cookies

This site uses the following cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies set by Cloudflare for security purposes, such as identifying visitors who repeatedly fail security checks.
  • Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics (including _ga and _ga_*) to count visitors and measure use.

Ahrefs Web Analytics is cookieless. You can block measurement storage at browser level; the site will continue to function. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on or your browser's tracking-prevention features.

Third parties

We use the following providers to operate the CallSky service and this website:

  • Supabase — authentication and database infrastructure for the CallSky service, holding the account, contact, and call-record data described above. Their privacy practices are published at supabase.com/privacy.
  • Stripe — card payment processing for the web app. Stripe receives the payment details you enter at checkout. Their privacy practices are published at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Google Firebase — analytics and crash reporting in the mobile apps, as described above. Google's privacy practices are published at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Cloudflare — CDN, security, and image hosting. Cloudflare receives the request data described above. Their privacy practices are published at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
  • Google Fonts — webfont delivery for the Inter typeface. Google receives the request data necessary to serve the font files. Google's font-serving privacy notice describes how this data is handled.
  • Google Analytics (GA4) — aggregate visitor and website-interaction measurement. Google receives page and event data together with the analytics cookies described above. Advertising signals and ad personalisation signals are disabled in our page configuration. Google's privacy practices are published at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Ahrefs Web Analytics — supplementary cookieless visitor measurement. Ahrefs receives standard request data but does not set cookies. Their privacy practices are published at ahrefs.com/privacy.

International transfers

Supabase, Stripe, Cloudflare, and Google are US-headquartered providers, and Ahrefs is headquartered in Singapore; some data may therefore be processed outside the UK and EEA. Where this happens, we rely on the appropriate transfer safeguards those providers make available, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy mechanism.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise a right, email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Neither the CallSky service nor this website is directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this notice from time to time. The current version, with the "last updated" date at the top, is always at callsky.app/privacy. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page when published.
